My baby Alexandrine from AAB to my door stress-free

"Hi Jo & Craig,

Thank you for such a wonderful baby Alexandrine Parrot. My expectations have well and truly been surpassed; his transport and adjustment to his new home went off without a hitch and caused no stress to us both.

From the time Bozo was collected from Dubbo Airport and brought home, he just came straight out of the box and started playing with his toys. We could instantly handle him with no problem; we just popped our hand underneath him and said "up", to which he jumped straight on. He even gives the gentlest of kisses.

It was particularly good to receive him at this age (12 weeks old); he has taken no time at all to bond with me. He has adjusted to a daily routine brilliantly which includes breakfast, staying on his perch throughout the day where he plays with his many toys and he even has an afternoon nap! Bed time is 7.30 sharp and he doesn't make a sound till morning. He is out of his cage all day and I even take him outside where he loves walking around on the grass. The more time you are prepared to spend with your new bird the better the results, the proof's in the pudding.

Bird breeder provides one very good reason to buy from AAB

"I felt that I would like to share my experience of buying birds from Craig Aquilina.

My first impressions of his birds were the overall quality, size, colour, and health. It is my view from what I have seen that his birds are far more superior to other birds available.

While browsing through his aviaries and asking questions, nothing seemed a problem, and Craig freely gave me advice on pairings to achieve different colours.

He seems to have this instinctive connection with birds and a great understanding of genetics and colour mutations.

I purchased several hen Green Cheek Conure mutations from Craig on one occasion, since I required them to pair off with some of my existing stock. The first year after purchasing the birds, they bred at 10 months of age and clutched between five and seven chicks each, which they parented, and reared.

Since then they still have huge double clutches, even if I do not pull the young from the first clutch! How can you not be happy with that rate of success and great experience?

It is with no doubt that I would buy birds from Craig again and would recommend anyone interested in breeding birds to do the same.

PS: There is no way Craig could look after his birds that way, must be his gorgeous wife Joanne doing all the work. hahahhah..."

Happy pet bird owner explains why AAB is the place to buy

"Craig Aquilina is very passionate about his birds; he has a wealth of knowledge and experience which never ceases to amaze us. Since purchasing an Alexandrine Parrot from Craig, if ever we have had any questions, he has always been obliging and extremely helpful. We have had great success with bonding and in training our pet Alexandrine Parrot, Wally. Wally was hand raised from a week old, he is a great talker and actually takes off the smoke alarm and oven timer with ease. In fact, we often are sent running to turn things off to find that Wally is up to his old tricks again.

When the side gate opens at our house, Wally believes he can replace the sleeping Rottweiler guard dog and he barks accordingly. We feed him on a seed diet, along with fruit but occasionally give him macadamia nuts - you should see how he performs when he sees them. He has become a valuable member of our family and takes pride of place on our very expensive pool table in the games room – and only the best will do for Wally! He has filled our empty nest.

Anyone who has ever seen Wally is in awe of how clever he is, and ask where is from, to which we happily let them know about Craig. Much of our success with Wally has been due to Craig's willingness to share his hands on experience and we have appreciated his recommendations and advice.
